Overview
Jim practices in the areas of insurance coverage, commercial litigation, contract litigation, and commercial transactional law. He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Detroit School of Law. Wilson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1988, has participated in several American Bar Association committees and workshops, and is a frequent speaker at insurance coverage events, including before the Reinsurance Committee of Lloyd’s, London, RIMS, and insurance coverage conferences.

- $2.3 million recovery for trucking company in asbestos claim;
- $4.6 million recovery for manufacturer arising from claimed copyright infringements;
- $2.7 million recovery for business interruption claim resulting from furnace explosion;
- $125 million recovery for time element loss sustained by auto manufacturer;
- $3.6 million recovery for policyholder against insurance broker; and
- $20 million recovery for insurance broker against former employees for breach of employment agreements.
